Philips OLED+908 4K TV with Meta OLED panel, Ambilight, and Bowers & Wilkins sound system

Last year, TP Vision introduced the Philips OLED+908, their new flagship OLED TV, which is currently available on Amazon. This Philips Ambilight OLED 4K smart TV features a bright Meta OLED panel and a range of other features, including Ambilight and a Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 sound system.

The OLED+908, the latest Philips Ambilight OLED 4K smart TV flagship, offers several exciting innovations, particularly in its OLED panel.

The manufacturer of the Philips OLED+908 uses one of LG Display’s new Meta OLED panels, which have brightness and self-illuminating pixels.

These panels boast a peak brightness of up to 2,100 nits, an impressive 70 percent increase that addresses one of the biggest weaknesses of OLED technology. They achieve this through micro lens array technology, which uses numerous microlenses.

At the core of this new Philips Ambilight OLED 4K smart TV is the 7th generation P5 AI processor. It ensures precise adjustment of brightness, gamma, and color reproduction in real-time, adapting to the ambient light. The TV also includes an XYZ light sensor that measures the color temperature of the room’s lighting and adjusts the display’s white point accordingly.

Additional features of the Philips OLED+908 include Ambilight and a Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 sound system with 80 watts of power and six front-facing speakers. A slim metal frame houses all of these components, complemented by a dark Audiomix speaker cloth from Kvadrat and an open metal base. The TV operates on Google TV OS.
