After leaked in exclusive posters in Philippines, Oppo F5 is finally gone official at an event in Philippines. It is also selfie-focused smartphone similar to other Oppo devices when it comes with a 20MP front-facing camera with A.I. beauty recognition technology.
Oppo F5 Specifications
The Oppo F5 features a 6.0-inch Fullview display with FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it. The device has a soft curved edge and its housing made of aluminum alloy.
It is powered by a 2.5 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit MediaTek Helio P23 16nm chipset paired with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
For selfie, the Oppo F5 bears a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor, and A.I. beauty recognition technology that scan 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly and also offers bokeh effect. It also has face unlock feature to quickly unlock the phone. There is a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. The handset comes equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor and O-share file-sharing technology that promises 100 times faster transfers compared to Bluetooth.
The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat -based on ColorOS 3.2 out of the box. It packs a 3200mAh battery and supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
Oppo F5 Price and Availability
Oppo F5 price is 15,990 Philippine Peso – approximately $307 for the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM model and can be pre-ordered in Philippines and goes on sale from November 4, 2017. The company also announced the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant and a cheaper with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM named Oppo F5 Youth.
The device will also be available in Russia and the Southeast Asian markets of Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam in November.
