After launching the Oppo A77 in Taiwan back in May this year, now Oppo has launched a new variant of the smartphone in China. New Oppo A77 with Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and is nearly identical to the Taiwanese model, except for SoC and rear camera design – which can be mistaken for dual cameras but in reality, it is just a single camera sensor with LED flash. Oppo A77 price in China is CNY 2,199 – approximately $325 and listed on its Chinese website in black, gold, and rose gold colors.
The new Oppo A77 variant is also dual-SIM smartphone and features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD In-Cell display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The major difference here is that the Oppo A77 with Snapdragon 625 SoC while the RAM and storage capacities are same: 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB.
On the camera front, without any changes compared to Taiwanese model: a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and wide-angle lens for your selfies and video calling. It also comes with built-in Background Blur feature which is able to create a depth-of-field effect through its Portrait mode. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash, which is capable of shooting Full HD videos.
Notably, the latest model has now run on ColorOS 3.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The device also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. For connectivity, includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The device houses a 3200mAh battery under the hood which supports VOOC Flash Charge and claimed to provide up to 13 hours of video playback time.
