The Modern MD272QXP business monitor by MSI, introduced earlier this year, recently revealed some key specifications. Alongside the white variant, the manufacturer also unveiled a black model named Modern MD272QXP, which seems identical in terms of technology and features.
Both MSI monitors sport a 27-inch IPS display with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a 100Hz refresh rate, covering 115 percent sRGB, and earning DisplayHDR-400 certification. They tout a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit color depth (8 bits + FRC), a brightness of 400 cd/m², and a 4ms response time (gray to gray).
Equipped with two internal 3-watt speakers, these monitors support Adaptive Sync, ensuring a tear-free gaming experience during breaks or post-work relaxation.
The interface assortment includes DisplayPort 1.2a, HDMI 2.0b, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt PD. It seems that the previously mentioned KVM switch is only accessible through software—thus, with two connected devices, both would need to remain active simultaneously for keyboard and mouse sharing to function.
The ergonomic features are robust: tilt, rotation, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mounting (75 x 75 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight are provided.

While the MSI Modern MD272QXP is currently available on the Adorama.com online store for $269.99, the release of the Modern MD272QXPW has been pushed to the first quarter of 2024.
