Internet for Gear VR: A Virtual Reality Web Browser from Samsung

The South Korean company Samsung on Wednesday has unveiled a special web browser named Internet for Gear VR to watch web content in a virtual reality on the smartphone with a virtual reality headset. This new Internet for Gear VR Virtual Web Browser allows users to watch regular web pages and view a video in virtual reality mode. The application supports 360-degree, 3D video streaming and HTML5 media playback, which automatically adapt to the virtual reality headsets.

The company introduced this app with the voice input and the keyboard to simplify interaction with the browser. The program has received special technology called Gaze Mode, which helps you to select a menu while keeping eyes on him, no need to use the controls on the headsets.

The Internet for Gear VR will import the data, bookmark and tabs from other browsers. At the moment, this works with Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge +, Note 4 and Note 5 and of course along with the Samsung Gear VR. Currently the browser is in beta mode, but you can download it from the Oculus Store. The company did not clearly specify that the Internet for Gear VR will support other Android smartphones with Google Cardboard.
