After a 1 year of long waiting the Asus Zenfone Zoom has been officially launched in Taiwan. It is the selfie centric smartphone from the Asus that comes with a 3X Optical Zoom 13MP camera was first unveiled at CES 2015. The Zenfone Zoom is available in two variants such as 64GB variant has been priced at 13,990 TWD – approximately $428 and 128GB variant at 15,990 TWD – approximately$489.
As we know that the main highlight of the Zenfone Zoom is its camera features, includes a 13-megapixel sensor with 3X optical zoom lens aperture ranges from f/2.7 to f/4.8 and the laser auto focus same as the Asus Zenphone 2 Laser. Moreover, Zenfone Zoom function is also equipped with optical Image Stabilizer OIS with True Tone dual LED flash helps improve low light photography.
Not only outstanding ability in the optical zoom, the Zenfone Zoom also specialized in imaging capabilities, promises to accurate and fast focus. However, if the lights were replaced with Xenon flash, it will more impressive. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel sensor to capture wide selfie portraits.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom features a 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD 1080×1920 pixels resolution that can rated to translate a pixel density of 403ppi and also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. There are two variants of the ZOOM includes 64GB native storage with Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz quad-core processor, and the other one with 128GB native storage with Intel Atom Z3590 2.5GHz quad-core processor. Both the variants have same 4GB of RAM and memory card slot to expand memory up to 128GB.
The handset runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the latest ZenUI on top of it. It packs a 3000mAh battery with single SIM functionality. On connectivity front, includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0 options. It measures 158.9 x 78.8 x 11.95 mm; weighs 185 grams and will be available in White and Black color variants.
