Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L Review
The box which the Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L comes with is made of thick cardboard in classic black. The accessories included in the box are: Huion Pen Tablet, Battery-free Pen (Huion PW517), USB-C Cable, Pen Holder PH05F, Standard Nib x 5, Felt Nib x 5, Nib Clip, Glove, Quick Start Guide.
The housing of the Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L is completely made of black plastic. The Huion pen tablet orientation is landscape. The work area on a computer is 345.4 x 215.9 mm, and the resolution is 5080 lines per inch (LPI). The overall dimensions of the Huion drawing tablet are 429 × 260.9 × 9mm, and it weighs 1145 grams.
This digital drawing tablet is recommended for use with computer screens as large as 15″ to 27 inches, although it can be used with computer screens up to 30″ or larger. As this drawing tablet for PC is so large, the movements on it will be easily transferred to the screen. You do not feel that a tiny movement on the tablet takes you a long distance on the screen.
On the left side of the tablet, we find the small LCD screen, which displays various active functions of the tablet, its charging capability, Bluetooth connectivity, or even gives us pointers when we work on it non-stop for a long time (more than 2 hours).
The LCD screen is a neat addition and gives the tablet a more premium look. Perhaps a dial is missing next to the button to be able to add more options in terms of shortcuts.
On the left side, you have the power button and an LED light that indicates Bluetooth connectivity. On the top left, we have the USB-C connection port. If you only have a high-end computer with a USB-C port, you’ll need an adapter to connect the tablet or connect via Bluetooth only. The included cable is quite large.
In the back, we find four rubber supports so that the tablet does not move from the table. It is designed to lie flat on a table and cannot be placed on a stand like other smaller models from the brand.
This tablet and stylus feature Huion’s new PenTek 3.0 technology: The PW517 Battery-Free Pen with PenTek 3.0 offers greater stability with a low-positioned pen tip for a realistic drawing experience. It also supports ±60° tilt function and 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The Huion PW517 pen is well-designed, thick enough, and has two buttons that are easy to press and can be programmed via an app. You don’t need to charge the stylus, a great advantage of having it always ready. It is an EMR stylus with 8192 pressure levels and a 60-degree tilt.
Huion tablet software
Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L runs on Windows 7 (and above), and Mac OS X 10.12 (and above). You can download the software from Huion’s official website. With it, you will be able to customize the graphics tablet to your liking. The software interface consists of only a few tabs.
In Huion tablet app, you can configure the workspace, and change its size and position as well, if you have multiple displays connected to your computer. In addition, you can also assign combinations of buttons to the express keys, as well as launch the necessary programs.
The buttons can be configured to create shortcuts that we often use and make our lives easier when drawing. They work with many apps, and you can customize them just for a certain program.
For example, you can use one button as an eraser, another as a brush, two others to increase (or decrease) the size of the brushes, and another to zoom in on the drawing app.
In the digital pen tab, you can assign functions to the pen keys and adjust the pressure sensitivity with a subsequent test. In Settings, you can change the language and color of the window, as well as check for program updates and diagnose the device.
The Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L’s working area measures 345.4 x 215.9mm, which is more than enough for comfortable drawing. The size of the six shortcut buttons is perfect for your finger, so there will be no false presses.
The tablet working area is covered with a frosted coating that offers good resistance, especially with filter tips. You can place the tablet in several positions: 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°.
On first use, it may seem that the Pen glides too fast, but this is a matter of habit. The Huion drawing tablet recognizes 8192 pressure levels – which is standard.
As for the pen, it has a simple, smooth body shape. The two buttons are located in the center of the grip, so you don’t have to lift your finger high when using them.
The two side buttons on the pen can be customized, and there is also a mouse mode. The pen is in perfect balance. The rubber insert allows you to maintain a secure grip for a long time. The strokes made with the pen on the tablet are even uniform, and pressing works correctly.
Another advantage of the Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L is that it supports pen tilt up to 60°. This function allows you to create more realistic lines as if you were working with a real brush.
We need a lot of space on your desk to work comfortably on this tablet. The ergonomics of the pencil and its grip are also great, and the presence of 10 nibs is a great addition, especially the 5 felt nibs, the sensations they provide while drawing is just awesome.
The set supports different levels of pressure and tilt, so the drawing experience is very good, especially if we take into account that the price of the tablet is very reasonable.
Even the slightest change in pressure or tilt will be noticeable in our drawing or photographic retouching. And if you don’t like the result, you can change these settings at any time using the Huion tablet app.
While working on this Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L, you will feel that you are drawing on regular paper, and that was the most important thing for us.
Another interesting thing about the tablet that we mentioned earlier is that it has a textured layer on its entire surface. This results in a more paper-like feel with more resistance when using the pen for a more satisfying drawing experience. It also provides an extra layer of resistance.
If we use a Standard Nib, the resistance is minimal. If we use Felt Nib, the resistance increases and gives you a better drawing experience.
The Huion Inspiroy Giano G930L is a perfect drawing tablet to work on an ultrawide monitor, especially suitable for professionals thanks to its large surface area. In addition, the tablet comes with six shortcut buttons, a small LCD screen, a tilt-supporting pen, and a function for working with mobile devices.
This new Huion pen tablet is made for graphic design professionals, digital artists, designers, and anyone with special needs. Its large work surface is perfect for handling all kinds of graphic projects with ease, without feeling like you’re short on space.
During the practical test, there is nothing to complain about here. The strokes are even, and pressing is read correctly. We paid attention to the quality of the surface of the working area. Due to its large working area, it is very easy to draw, and the pen also remains stable. Other strengths of this tablet are that it has Bluetooth connectivity to be able to work wirelessly, and its internal battery gives you up to 18 hours of range. You can also connect it using a USB-C cable.
