Garmin Epix 2 Smartwatch with AMOLED display, up to 21 days runtime, and outdoor focus

The long-awaited Garmin Epix 2 is finally officially introduced. With a particularly robust and waterproof housing, battery life of up to 21 days, and a variety of health and fitness features, the smartwatch has a lot to offer.

The equipment of the Garmin Epix 2 largely corresponds to the new Garmin Fenix ​​7, with one big difference: Instead of a reflective LCD, the Epix 2 uses a round AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.3 inches and a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and an always-on function. The smartwatch Garmin with its diagonal of 47 millimeters offers a battery life of six days with an active always-on display, 16 days in regular smartwatch mode, or 21 days in energy-saving mode.

The housing is particularly robust and waterproof to a depth of 10 ATM. The focus of the smartwatch is clearly on tracking outdoor activities. Among other things, Garmin installs a multi-frequency GPS module that can record the distance covered when running or cycling with particular precision. More than 60 sports and outdoor apps are available to record bouldering, swimming, skiing, or golfing, for example, the smartwatch has extensive maps of ski slopes and golf courses.

The smartwatch measures the wearer’s heart rate and blood oxygen levels, as well as breathing rate, sleep, and stress levels. The device also offers 16 GB of internal memory, or 32 GB in the Titan model, which can be used, among other things, to store music directly on the watch via Spotify, Amazon Music, or Deezer. The watch is compatible with both Android and iPhone smartphones.
