Garmin Descent Mk1 Dive Computer Smartwatch For Divers

Garmin introduced a new smartwatch designed for scuba diving enthusiasts, we talk about a tool that can provide precision and safety even for professionals. The Garmin Descent Mk1 dive computer has a stainless steel case, while the premium version comes with DLC titanium band.

This Garmin watch can provide up to 10 ATMs waterproof and dive activity maximum operating depth of 100 meters. This smartwatch incorporates technologies such as GPS with Glonass, ABC sensors, also features multisport features that make it an excellent companion in general fitness.

The Garmin Descent Mk1 features a range of diving activities including the ability to plan dives on the device for recreational, technical and free diving. It provides all the key, real-time data you need to a confident dive. The computer is automatically activated when you hit the water, showing your current depth, dive time, water temperature, ascent/descent rate, no-deco time, decompression stop information, and battery life.

This Garmin dive watch is compatible with the Garmin Connect IQ platform that lets you customize the watch dials, data fields, widgets, and activities, secured by the manufacturer. Coming to battery life, the Descent Mk1 has up to 40 hours of dive mode, up to 20 hours in active GPS mode, up to 10 days in smartwatch mode, up to 19 days in watch mode, and up to 30 hours in UltraTrac mode.

This new dive computer uses Garmin Elevate wrist-based heart rate technology to optically scan your pulse. The dive computer tracks your exertion levels and uploads your heart rate data automatically to your Garmin Connect online account for post-dive review and analysis.

The new Garmin Descent Mk1 will be available from December 2017 at the recommended retail price of $999.99 for the silver sapphire with black band and gray sapphire with DLC titanium band cost $1,499.99.
