The Garmin Vivosmart 3 lets users track steps, heart rate and calories burnt. The wearable also monitors user’s sleep time, is water resistant, features hidden display and can run for 5 days on a single charge. It brings VO2 max tool a measurable indication of aerobic performance previously available only in higher-end Garmin running watches. Users will see their VO2 max score translated into a fitness level, ranging from poor to superior. VO2 max is also used to calculate fitness age, a relatable metric that puts a user’s fitness level in terms of an age.

Under its smart notifications section, the Garmin Vivosmart 3 lets users view text, call alerts and email once it gets synced with the compatible Bluetooth supporting device. The health tracker vibrates whenever a notification arrives. Users can however, simply swipe the notification alert to dismiss it. It is worth mentioning that Vivosmart 3 also gives an alert to users after every one hour of inactivity to move and walk around.

In addition to tracking steps, heart rate, floors climbed, calories, distance and sleep, the vívosmart 3 also measures activity intensity through Intensity Minutes which are measured against goals recommended by leading health organizations. There is also a Garmin Move IQ to recognizes activities like walking, running, biking, swimming and elliptical training without any action on the part of the wearer. The Garmin vívosmart 3 adds wellness monitoring with the all-day stress tracking feature. When users are not on the move, the vívosmart 3 tracks heart rate variability, which in turn is used to calculate and measure stress level, displayed as a wedge graph right on the device.

To get all these data, users would have to download the Garmin Connect app on their smartphones to keep a track of their daily goals.
