Sennheiser HD 620S closed-back design headphones for audiophiles

The HD 620S is Sennheiser’s latest pair of wired, closed-back design headphones. These new closed headphones for gaming and audiophiles are already available for pre-order in the US.

Sennheiser has launched HD 620 S, the wired successor to the HD 600 headphones. The company claims that the 620S offers better bass response than the older HD 600, covering frequencies from 20 Hz to 100 Hz. Additionally, the company adds that the headset offers an overall frequency response of 6 Hz to 100 Hz and 30 kHz with a nominal impedance of 150 Ohms.

Sennheiser states that the headphones achieve 110 dB (SPL) with less than 0.05% total harmonic distortion (THD) (1kHz/90 dB SPL). Additionally, the HD 620S features 42mm angled drivers and 38mm diaphragms for what Sennheiser describes as “uncompromised private and reference listening.” Fortunately, the headset comes with a detachable cable, although the default option is only 1.8 meters long.

However, Sennheiser’s “twist-and-lock single-sided” cable design offers the option of using aftermarket cables instead. By default, the HD 620S comes with a 3.5mm stereo plug and a 6.3mm adapter included. However, Sennheiser plans to offer a 4.4mm balanced cable, which will be available this summer.

Sennheiser HD 620S price and release date

As for the HD 620 S itself, Sennheiser has priced the closed-back design headphones at $349.95 and is already accepting pre-orders on Amazon. The company won’t start shipping pre-orders until June 6 in North America.

Along with these closed-back design headphones, Sennheiser also introduced the ACCENTUM series True Wireless Earbuds. It is available in three colors and multiple markets, features 7mm dynamic drivers, and supports Bluetooth LC3 and Qualcomm aptX codecs, among other features.

Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless Earbuds are available on Amazon for $199.95 / £169.99.

Nothing recently introduced two new true wireless earbuds called Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). These latest iterations feature the integration of the ChatGPT voice assistant and boast impressive sound quality.
