Epson launches EpiqVision EH-LS800 super-ultra-short-throw 4K Laser Projector

Epson has launched a new home cinema projector, the EpiqVision EH-LS800. The “super-ultra-short-throw” 4K laser projector has a throw ratio of 0.16:1, allowing you to project an image 150 inches (~3.81m) wide from a distance of 285mm (~11.2 inches). The Epson 4K projector has a built-in Yamaha 2.1-channel sound system, as well as Google Chromecast and Google Assistant voice commands.

Epson has unveiled a new home cinema UST projector, the EpiqVision EH-LS800. The company defines this gadget as “super-ultra-short-throw”, with a throw ratio of 0.16:1, allowing you to place it just 285mm from the wall for a 150-inch image ( ~3.81m) wide. You can also place the Epson laser projector 230mm from the wall for an 80-inch (~2.03m) image. The 4K laser projector has a peak brightness of 4,000 lms and a contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1.

The home cinema projector features a laser light source with an L-shaped lens, using 3LCD technology to produce a bright, lifelike image. In game mode, the Epson 4K projector has an input latency of less than 20ms and a 2D vertical refresh rate of up to 240Hz. The EH-LS800 comes with a Yamaha 2.1-channel 20-speaker system Integrated W, with FR-Port, DSP, and AudioEngine technologies to optimize the sound experience.

With the built-in Android TV, you can download popular streaming apps to the device and use tools like Google Chromecast and Google Assistant voice commands. You can also connect to the gadget through a series of ports including HDMI ARC and USB-A. You can configure the LS800 UST projector using the Epson Setting Assistant application, with the Quick Corner and digital zoom tools.

Last week, Optoma introduced the UHD35STx latest multimedia projector that can project images up to 762 cm (300 in) wide, with a brightness of up to 3,600 lumens. The company suggests you could use the new smart projector for gaming, with a 240Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time at 1080p, and it is priced at $1,749.
