Behringer launches New PK series Portable PA Speakers for Budget Users

Behringer has introduced a new series of PA speakers. The PK series Behringer speakers are available in sizes from 8 to 15 inches, each as a 2-way box active box or in a passive version and would like to be a competent sound solution for live sound, as a portable PA, monitor wedge, house of worship applications and recommend other events.

Behringer PK108, PK110, PK112, PK115

It starts with the PK108, the smallest passive loud speaker in the series. The portable speaker has 320 watts of power and is equipped with an 8-inch woofer in a long-throw design for powerful bass and a 1-inch compression driver that is mounted on a large-format exponential horn with a wide dispersion. The frequency range is rated at 87 Hz to 35 kHz (± 3 dB) or 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). According to the manufacturer, the lightweight (5.1 kg) has a rod integrated into the housing, a recessed grip on the top, and built-in screw threads for easy setup and hanging up.

The impedance of all PA speakers in the Behringer PK series is 8 ohms, the radiation angle is 70 ° H x 50 ° W, and the maximum sound pressure level is specified as 96 dB. The crossover frequency is specified as 2.2 kHz. These data are identical for all models and each speaker has a twist connector as well as a link-out socket. The PA speakers differ in their top performance, built-in woofers, frequency response, and weight. So it continues with the PK110, 480 watts, and equipped with a 10-inch woofer with a frequency range of 80 Hz to 35 kHz (± 3 dB) or 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) proclaimed for itself.

The PK112 has a peak power of 600 watts with a frequency range of 75 Hz to 35 kHz (± 3 dB) / 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). It weighs 10.1 kg. The top model PK115 has 800 watts, uses a 15-inch woofer, and goes down to 70 Hz with a weight of 14.9 kg. The two large PK112 and PK115 models have additional side handles.

Behringer PK108A, PK110A

The portable Bluetooth speakers come up with class AB power amplifier technology, an integrated 2-channel mixer, and an independent microphone channel. There is also integrated Bluetooth streaming and an MP3 player that can be played via USB stick, SD, or MMC card. It accepts the audio formats MP3 / WMA / WAV / FLAC / APEF on FAT16 / 32 media. Via a Bluetooth connection, you can also drive a stereo system with another active box. A power line output also enables the connection of several passive PK110/108 loudspeakers. 

The PK108A generates 240 watts at 90 dB mx SPL and weighs 6.8 kg, the PK110A (8.9 kg) creates 320 watts. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). PK108A / PK110A has low-noise microphone preamps. The mixer offers dedicated level controls per channel as well as a master volume control and a clip LED. However, the MP3 player has to share its channel with the line input, which has cinch inputs as well as outputs and also a mini-jack input. Here you can dock your mixer, instruments or smartphone and adjust the sound using an integrated 2-band equalizer. The output impedance is 8 ohms. The housings are designed in the same way as the passive series.

Behringer PK112A, PK115A

In contrast to the smaller sibling Behringer speakers, Behringer offers a three-channel mixer with two dedicated microphone channels in the PK112A and PK115A. Like the passive models, the large speakers offer 600 watts or 800 watts at 95 dB max SPL and weigh 12.5 or 17.7 kg.
