ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the new ROG Delta S gaming headset, the first in the world to integrate MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) support, an audio codec intended for Internet streaming of high-fidelity digital audio and file download also used by Tidal. These Noise Canceling headphones are the first result of a close partnership from ASUS Rog with MQA Ltd, a company specializing in audio technologies created by Bob Stuart, also co-founder of Meridian Audio.
The new Over-Ear Headphones take advantage of the CODEC ESS 9281 with QUAD DAC technology to return realistic audio with high details. The microphone with ASUS AI Noise Canceling (AI Mic) technology ensures cleaner communication and the USB-C / USB 2.0 connection offers maximum compatibility with a wide range of devices.
The Noise Canceling headphones also integrate an ESS 9281 Quad DAC to better manage audio processing without information loss. Each of the four DACs is dedicated to supporting the processing of a portion of the audible frequency range: low, mid, high, and ultra-high. The four signals are then added together to obtain clearer acoustics by a signal-to-noise ratio of 130 dB.
The ROG Delta S, like the ROG Theta 7.1, Strix Go, and Strix Go 2.4, integrate an artificial intelligence-based microphone with noise cancellation up to 95%, AI Mic, which relies on a dedicated processor designed to locate over 50 million types of noise, to isolate the sound of the voice for noise-free communication.
The AI Mic is unidirectional, detachable, and certified by both Discord and TeamSpeak. The noise cancellation function, which can be deactivated if necessary, is managed through ASUS Armory Crate software.
