The AOC Q27G2S 27 inch gaming monitor unveiled in early 2021 and released in late 2021/early 2022 will be joined by a sister model that will likely come at a lower price. The upcoming best 1440p gaming monitor AOC Q27G2E is based on VA instead of an IPS panel, has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) at 155Hz instead of 165Hz, and does not have HDR support.
The contrast ratio is 3000:1, the response time is 4 ms (grey to gray), the color depth is 8 bits, and the luminance is 250 cd/m². According to the datasheet, 99 percent sRGB and 90 percent DCI-P3 are also offered. In addition to the FreeSync Premium anti-tearing measure, a mode against the blurring of moving images is available – however, the two technologies cannot be used in combination. A black stabilizer, a crosshair overlay, and an fps display are also accessible via the OSD.
In terms of interfaces, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs (WQHD at max. 144 Hz), a DisplayPort 1.2 (WQHD at max. 155 Hz), and a headphone output at the start. The AOC Q27G2E 1440p monitor has a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), can be tilted, and doesn’t lack a blue light filter or a flicker-free backlight.
