AOC, a Taiwanese manufacturer, recently released a new gaming monitor on Amazon named the AG456UCZD. Firstly, this 44.5-inch monitor boasts an OLED panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9). Secondly, it offers a lightning-fast 240 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it features an extreme 800R curvature, adding to an immersive gaming experience. It directly competes with the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE and Acer Predator X45.
The AOC AG456UCZD offers a 0.03 ms response time (gray to gray), 10-bit color depth, 100 percent sRGB, 98.5 percent DCI-P3, a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, and a Delta-E value of less than 2. Regarding brightness levels, the data sheet specifies 200 cd/m² (100 percent APL), 450 cd/m² (25 percent APL), or 1000 cd/m² (3 percent APL for HDR).
Regarding features, the AOC AG456UCZD does not disappoint. Initially, it provides Light FX lighting that adds to the ambient gaming experience. Additionally, it includes useful utilities such as a headphone hook for organized gaming setups. Further, it incorporates a black stabilizer for enhanced visibility in dark scenes. The product page also mentions FreeSync support, although it is already listed as “Compatible” in NVIDIA’s G-Sync database.
AOC has also included a KVM switch, picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes, and two internal 8-watt speakers. For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs (max. 100 Hz at WQHD resolution), a DisplayPort 1.4 (max. 240 Hz at WQHD resolution), a USB 3.2 hub (Gen 1), a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternative mode (max. 240 Hz at WQHD resolution) with 90 watts PD available. However, it is surprising that HDMI 2.1 is not included in an otherwise modern product.
