Asus, a prominent hardware manufacturer from Taiwan, has recently unveiled the ROG Strix XG27ACS, a cutting-edge ELMB monitor. Significantly, this model boasts a 27-inch IPS display with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), ensuring crisp and detailed visuals. Moreover, it offers a high refresh rate of 180 Hz coupled with a rapid gray change of 1 ms, providing an exceptionally smooth gaming experience. Additionally, the monitor comes with DisplayHDR-400 certification, enhancing the color and contrast for a more lifelike viewing experience.

According to the datasheet, the 1440p 27 inch 180Hz monitor offers 8-bit color depth, a peak brightness of 400 cd/m², 97 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, 133 percent sRGB coverage, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. ELMB-Sync technology allows for the simultaneous use of anti-tearing and anti-blur features. The monitor also supports FreeSync (presumably in the premium tier) and G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync.
In terms of additional features, the monitor includes a black stabilizer, GamePlus features such as an FPS display and crosshair overlays, and variable overdrive. On the connectivity side, it offers DisplayPort 1.4 (supporting WQHD at a maximum of 180 Hz), HDMI 2.0 (supporting WQHD at a maximum of 144 Hz), a headphone output, USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode (supporting WQHD at a maximum of 180 Hz), and a 7.5-watt power delivery option.
When it comes to ergonomics, the monitor offers a wide range of adjustments, commencing with tilt, rotation, and height adjustment. Furthermore, it includes pivot adjustments and VESA mount compatibility (100 x 100 mm). Additionally, for the comfort and health of the user’s eyes, it is equipped with blue light filtering and a flicker-free backlight.
