MSI introduced the MPG 271QRX 1440p QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 360 Hz refresh rate

MSI, a Taiwanese company, has recently launched product pages for their latest QD-OLED gaming monitors, including the MAG 341CQP, MAG 321URX, and the 27-inch MPG 271QRX, which will be available for pre-order soon. The primary difference between these models lies in the variety of connections they offer.

Similar to the 31.5-inch version, the 27-inch MSI MPG 271QRX features a QD-OLED panel from Samsung, the latest generation, with an anti-reflection layer. The monitor has a fanless custom heatsink for cooling and an optimized subpixel layout, which provides improved text display. The monitor also includes OLED Care 2.0, which incorporates various mechanisms to prevent burn-in effects.

This new 1440p gaming monitor boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) and offers a maximum refresh rate of 360 Hz, ensuring a quick gray change in only 0.03 ms. The specifications also mention a typical brightness of 250 cd/m², 10-bit color depth, DisplayHDR True Black 400, a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, and a Delta-E value of less than 2. Additionally, it provides coverage of approximately 138% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 98% Adobe RGB.

To eliminate tearing in games, the monitor utilizes Adaptive Sync, although the exact form is not specified by the manufacturer. It is assumed that it supports FreeSync Premium (Pro). The interfaces include two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode. Furthermore, the monitor features a USB 2.0 hub and can charge devices with up to 90 watts through its USB-C port, compared to the standard 15 watts. By the way, all graphic inputs support WQHD360.

MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED price and release date

The Bhphotovideo.com store currently lists the new MSI 1440p 360Hz monitor for $799.99, but it does not provide availability details.

There is mention of a KVM switch, but it is unclear if it is implemented through hardware or software. The monitor allows flexible adjustment options, such as tilting, rotating, height-adjusting, pivoting, or mounting on a wall or swivel arm using a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Additionally, it includes a blue light filter.
