Zeiss introduced new Nano Prime T1.5 lenses with a focal length from 18 to 100mm

Zeiss has released a new series of video lenses for full-frame mirrorless cameras, called the Zeiss Nano Prime T1.5 lenses. These lenses are available in six focal lengths, ranging from 18mm to 100mm, and have a T1.5 aperture. The manufacturer designed the set of six lenses to resemble Zeiss Supreme Prime, and they are available for a relatively affordable price of $25,950.

Though the Cine Primes have a uniform design, their weight and length slightly vary. For example, the 18mm T1.5 weighs 1.2 kilograms and is 112 millimeters long, while the 100mm T1.5 weighs 1.3 kilograms and is also 112 millimeters long. The other lenses weigh between 0.86 and 1.14 kg.

Each lens has different minimum focusing distances, from 25.4 up to 100 cm for the 18mm and 100mm lenses, respectively. All the lenses in the set feature manual focus but also have electronic communication to transmit metadata, focal length, and aperture to the camera.

The lenses feature a 12-blade aperture with a manual aperture ring. The aperture ring rotates 90 degrees while the focus rings rotate 280 degrees. The lenses possess an 86mm filter thread and are durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions such as rain and winter weather.

Although the lenses come with an E-mount, they have the Zeiss Interchangeable Mount System (IMS). Zeiss Nano Prime T1.5 lenses are available for pre-order on Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com for $4,490 each. The 6-lens kit is priced at $25,950 and includes a custom hard case. The case can also be purchased separately for $850.

This six-lens kit is much cheaper than purchasing the lenses individually. Purchasing all six lenses separately would add up to $27,940, along with an additional $850 for the case. This sums up to a total saving of $2,840.

Atlas Lens now has the Atlas Mercury 1.5x anamorphic line, which has three cine lenses for pre-order: the Atlas Mercury 54mm T2.2, 95mm T2.2, and 138mm T2.2 1.5x lenses. These high-end premium lenses cost $7,995 per unit and synchronize flawlessly with top-tier cinema cameras.
