MSI MAG 321URX QD-OLED gaming monitor with 4K and 240 Hz: Pre-Order Now

MSI has shared full specifications for the MSI MPG 321URX 4K QD-OLED monitor following its introduction in November 2023. Showcased at CES 2024 alongside several other QD-OLED gaming monitors from MSI, it features a 31.5-inch panel with 4K and 240 Hz output.

The new MPG321URX relies on a QD-OLED panel of the latest generation, which has an optimized subpixel layout and should therefore offer improved text display, for example. The anti-reflection layer minimizes annoying light reflections. A custom heatsink with graphene film cools the panel, eliminating the need for a fan. Various protective mechanisms work against burn-in effects, summarized under “OLED Care 2.0” by MSI.

Among other things, they should be able to recognize an OS taskbar or several logos displayed at the same time and automatically dim the display.

MSI MPG 321URX has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) at a maximum of 240 Hz, which, depending on the game, requires very high-performance gaming hardware as well as the use of upsampling processes such as FSR and/or the downregulation of graphic details – if you are in to achieve a resolution that is almost constant at 240 fps. Other features of the flat MSI QD-OLED gaming monitor include DisplayHDR True Black 400, 10-bit color depth, 250 cd/m² typical brightness, a 0.03 ms fast gray change, and a ClearMR-13 000 certification.

The coverage of the color spaces is around 138 percent sRGB, 99 percent DCI-P3, and 97 percent Adobe RGB. It promises a delta E value of less than 2. The only mentioned anti-tearing measure is Adaptive Sync, although it can be assumed that at least FreeSync Premium or even FreeSync Premium Pro are available. In addition to smart crosshair overlays and a sniper scope, “AI Vision” can independently brighten the image or saturate colors.
