Xiaomi launches Mi Notebook Pro, the latest addition to its Mi Notebook line up. This time we find the new Intel quad-core processors (turbo boost up to 4GHz) and a completely redesigned heat dissipation system. This is clearly a generous notebook, with a 15.6-inch display features a 72% NTSC colour gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as well as a weight of 1.95 kg.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro also comes with a dedicated graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce MX150, all enclosed in the usual minimal design seen in the previous two generations of Mi Air Notebooks. There is also a fingerprint reader and magnesium alloy resistant body, extremely thin side frame (6.52mm only) and overall size are 360.7mm x 243.6mm x 15.9mm. The company also touting Harman Infinity custom-built speakers and Dolby Atmos audio. Battery capacity is a 60Wh, and its new lightweight charger can charge the laptop up to 50 percent in 35 minutes.
New Mi Notebook Pro features a large backlit keyboard and the company says the keyboard area is 19 percent larger than the MacBook Pro; and it seems to have extra space between each key, with a 1.5mm key stroke. Finally, Xiaomi expands the port segment with 2 USB Type-C, 2 USB 3.0, one HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, and SD card slot, great expansions compared to previous Xiaomi Mi Air Notebooks.
Coming to Xiaomi Notebook Pro pricing, starting with an incredibly low price. In fact, it is only CNY 5599 – approximately $860 for the basic version with Intel i5 and 8GB RAM, but rises to CNY 6199 – approximately $952 and CNY 6999 – approximately $1075 for the most powerful models with up to 16GB of DDR4 dual-channel 2400MHz RAM and 256GB SSD PCIe (both with 8th Generation Intel Core i7 CPUs).
