Sony again started a new crowdfunding campaign in Japan to raise funds for its upcoming Smartwatch dubbed as FES Watch U. Form Clock face to strap this SmartWatch uses e-paper screen so you have lots of customize options and choose any styles that suits your personality. 
It uses Stainless steel case in two color options to choose such as White and Silver, in addition the “Premium Black” model with an anti-reflection coating to protect the case and a sapphire glass to protect the front surface. The products are also dustproof and waterproof – IPX5 and IPX7 certifications.
The company claimed the battery life is about up to 3 weeks, quite impressive for a SmartWatch use e-paper screen with a diameter of 43mm. Sony also indicated on its website that FES Watch U supports iOS 9 or more, has not seen mention Android.
On the website, each of the three products has an introduction video with images, and details on the product. Also seen is the ‘Episodes’ tab that lets the backers keep track of the project status. The FES Watch U price range is starting from $438 to $587 depending on what model you choose. If Sony hit enough targets on October, the company will begin production in November and it will be shipped starting next year. 
Previously, Sony also used to raise funds for a similar e-paper smartwatch named FES Watch and that was also able to change its appearance based on user gestures. There were a total of 24 different user selectable patterns.
