Asus is relaunching the Zenbook Pro16X OLED 2023, enhancing the slim creative flagship with significantly more power, thanks to Intel Raptor Lake and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000. Additionally, Asus is doubling the frame rate of the OLED panel, which continues to maintain the 16:10 aspect ratio.
The Asus 16 Zenbook Pro 16X OLED 2023 has received several upgrades for 2023. However, Asus hasn’t made many design changes, except for the enlarged trackpad. This trackpad, according to Asus, features the world’s first NumberPad with haptic feedback, allowing users to display a number pad on the touchpad.
The 16-inch OLED display retains its 16:10 aspect ratio and sees a resolution drop from 4K to 3.2K. However, the frame rate is now doubled, reaching 120 Hz. The touchscreen is compatible with the Asus Pen 2, which detects pressure in 4,096 levels. To the left of the trackpad, the Asus Dial, a small rotary wheel, facilitates easy control of tools such as Photoshop brush size.
The new Asus Zenbook UX7602 is equipped with Intel Raptor Lake and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000, although specific chip details haven’t been confirmed, except for the Intel Core i9-13905H in the top model. The mainboard is crafted as a “Supernova System-on-Module,” reducing the area by 38 percent. This enables the installation of a significantly larger cooling system in the slim 16.9-millimeter chassis.
When opened, the keyboard is automatically angled, providing a more ergonomic typing experience and creating room for additional ventilation openings. Coupled with liquid metal thermal paste, this cooling system allows for a total power loss of 155 watts.
Asus offers configurations with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, boasting data rates of up to 6,500 MB/s. The laptop features six speakers, four microphones, an RGB-backlit keyboard, a fingerprint sensor, a 96 Wh battery, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
