As per the manufacturer’s claims, this lens proves suitable for a variety of photography genres, including landscapes, street scenes, nighttime shots, food photography, and more.

Sporting a 61.3-degree field of view on a full-frame sensor, the lens boasts a configuration of nine elements arranged in eight groups. Utilizing the latest nano-multi-layer coating technology, Yongnuo asserts enhanced light transmission and effective suppression of flare and ghosting. An aspherical glass element contributes to compensating for aberrations, while a low-dispersion glass element mitigates dispersion issues typical of wider angles.

The Yongnuo YN35mm f2Z DF DSM features a seven-bladed aperture with an f/2 to f/16 range, a minimum focusing distance of 0.35 meters, and weighs 290 grams. The front filter diameter measures 52 mm.

Ingeniously designed, the manual focus ring multitasks by allowing users to assign various functions such as ISO, aperture, or exposure compensation. Additionally, an autofocus switch and a custom function FN button grace the lens barrel, offering extra individual control.

Driving the autofocus system is a digitally controlled stepping motor (DSM). The lens also incorporates a USB-C interface, enabling users to conveniently update the lens firmware.
