Xiaomi has a tendency to surprise its audiences with all the unique products and today the company has expanded its TV boxes with the launch of the two Xiaomi Mi Box 4 and Mi Box 4c, the successor of the Mi Box 3s and Mi Box 3c were launched back in November 2016.
Both Xiaomi TV boxes come with user MIUI-based user interface and also supports artificial intelligence. Due to the implementation of the specially designed PatchWall system – an artificial intelligence, the user interface will reportedly learn the viewing habits of the users and accordingly make the suggestions, which are likely to become better over time.
In terms of specifications, Mi Box 4 is capable of 4K video playback along with HDR, h.265 hardware decoding and Dolby + DTS audio support. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage. In terms of connectivity options, it comes with support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac, an HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB ports. The device comes with company’s infrared remote control.
Coming to the slightly lower specs Mi Box 4c which packs 1GB of RAM and has 4GB of internal storage. Apart from these differences, most other specifications of the Xiaomi TV boxes are similar.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4 and Mi Box 4c will be available for sale at prices CNY 199 – approximately $55 and CNY 249 – approximately $55 – $40 in China from November 1st, 2018. The Mi Box 4 comes in pure white color, while the 4c comes in the matte black color.
