In 2019 Canon will launch a series of RF lenses. They will deliver at least one EF-M lens to Canon EOS-M series and 7 new RF lenses for the EOS-R series, although the camera array is still unclear. Besides, Canon also works on a series of f/2.8 aperture zoom lenses.
7 RF lens can be released in 2019 are:
- Canon RF 16-35mm f/2.8L (or similar)
- Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS (or similar)
- Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS (or similar)
- Canon RF 105mm f/1.4L
- Canon RF 85mm f/1.8 IS STM
- Canon RF Macro
- Canon RF non-L Kit
According to Canonrumor, Canon is researching to develop a fixed focal length lens for the EOS R series in the future, although the roadmap for lens group development in 2019 is not mentioned. At the same time, a Canon RF non-L lens can be sold with the new Canon EOS R line in the first 6 months of 2019.
Also, good news for Canonian, the company will have at least 15 RF lenses within the next 30-36 months to enrich the RF line for the future.
