WhatsApp messenger allows you to catch up all communication online, whether it be family, friends or colleagues. Sometimes it collects dozens of active chats and searches for the most important of which takes away a lot of time. To solve this problem, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows you to pin your favorite chats to the top.
The WhatsApp pin chats feature is being tested on the Android platform for now, but it hints that it is set to roll out to stable versions in the near future. It’s still in beta version for Android versions 2.17.162 or 2.17.163, in this beta version you’ll be able to pin whatever chat or group that you want is pinned at the top of the screen, meaning that no matter how many other chats pop up, that particular chat will always remain at the top. If you do chat with a lot of people and don’t want to have certain threads lost, then this is a useful feature to have.
As of now, WhatsApp allows you to pin a maximum number of 3 chats, after which it will give you a notification that ‘You can only pin up to 3 chats’ if you try to pin another chat. To pinned your favorite one just press on the individual / group chat you want to pin, and choose the Pin symbol from the top bar. The other options alongside Pin are Delete, Mute, and Archive. Once you pin the chat, it will remain on the top of your chat list, irrespective of your dialogue or conversation timings with the individual or group concerned.
