Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F1.5 Lens for Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, and Leica M

Zhong Yi Optics has introduced a new full-frame lens – the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm f1.5. The optic is designed for the latest Canon RF, Nikon Z mounts, as well as Sony FE and Leica M-mounts.

The manufacturer reports that the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm f1.5 lens produces “buttery bokeh” at maximum aperture blends with the background perfectly. Combining fast aperture and long focal length in one lens, the shallow depth of field enables a flawless separation of the main subject and background. 9-bladed round iris design enables the round-shape bokeh that all photographers would have ever wished.

The optical design of the lens consists of 9 elements in 6 groups. Sharpness and contrast are maintained even at maximum aperture, according to the manufacturer. The Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm f1.5 uses two extra-low dispersion elements to reduce distortion and chromatic aberration. The manufacturer reports that the color rendering of the lens is close to that of the human eye. The sharp coma flare is also reported to be minimized.

The lens has a 27-degree field of view. It allows for expressive portraits without compression effects.

The new Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F1.5 for Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, and Leica M mounts are already available on Amazon.com online reseller. The retail price of the lens is $649 for the Leica M mount and $599 for the Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony FE.
