The chromatic aberration is largely suppressed, and color fringing should not occur even with highlights. The lens contains two elements made of Super ED (extra-low dispersion) glass and two with a particularly high refractive index.

The lens should be vignetting-free and have optimal sharpness over the entire image field into the corners as well as minimal distortion. The nine aperture blades, which form a circular aperture and provide soft bokeh, are emphasized. The main aim for this lens is likely to portrait photography, as the examples below show.

The manual lens is equipped with a metal frame and the long adjustment range enables precise focusing. The internal focusing ensures that the length of the lens does not change when focusing and that filters and other lens attachments can be used without any problems. It also has an extendable lens hood, which is longer than usual for this focal length.
