Samsung 850 EVO 4TB SSD Unveiled at $1,499

Samsung on Monday added the new 4TB Portable SSD in its 850 EVO line in USA. Available via popular Amazon e-commerce website, the Samsung SSD 850 EVO already available in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. And now the 4TB Samsung SSD variant is priced at $1,499 and will be shipped after July 31st. Meanwhile the 1TB and 2TB variants are priced at $318 and $635 respectively. Samsung 850 EVO 4TB

SSD drives are faster than normal hard disks and also a little bit safer to lug around since they don’t have any moving parts. Samsung is touting that 850 EVO 4TB speeds is much faster than a normal hard drive. Samsung 850 EVO 4TB SSD offers 540MBps read and 520MBps write speeds and a random read/write speeds of up to 98,000 to 90,000 inputs/ outputs per second.

Featuring a 256-bit hardware encryption for security, the Samsung 850 EVO 4TB SSD is powered by company’s 3D Vertical NAND (V-NAND) technology that transforms the everyday computing experience with optimized performance and endurance. This V NAND SSD 850 EVO SSD also features Dynamic Thermal Guard, which, as per the company’s claims, activates in extreme temperature to protect the hard disk.
