Asus is ready to bring to the market one of the most interesting high-end OLED gaming monitor models. It is ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ, an OLED display that does not look at compromises and aims to offer the best possible gaming experience, not only in terms of performance but also for the size of the panel.

The new Asus 138Hz monitor, which joins other top-of-the-range products such as the ROG Swift PG32UQX (approx. $3000 / £3,200 on Amazon), offers a 47.5-inch OLED panel that will be integrated into a setup sized for the situation.

In addition to guaranteeing a high color rendering (10 bit), with DCI-P3 coverage of 98% and a Delta E of less than 2, Asus PG48UQ offers a 4K resolution and a refresh rate up to 138Hz (in overclocking); performance is also guaranteed by a very short response time – only 0.1 ms GtG declares. Asus will also offer all the proprietary ROG features implemented to better support the user (we’re talking about hardware and software).

Asus ROG Swift OLED PG48UQ supports NVIDIA G-Sync and integrates technologies such as Trace Free, Game Plus, and Ultra-Low Blue Light; However, the optimization is not limited only to this and also includes a particular design – always in ROG style – which favors the cooling of the components, also guaranteeing better panel performance (OLEDs like low temperatures).

Returning to the panel, obviously HDR, the typical brightness is declared in 450 nits with a pico of 900 nits, while the typical contrast is 135,000: 1 with viewing angles at 178/178 °. The equipment of this monitor is completed by the two 10-watt speakers and a rather full-bodied I/O department which includes: two HDMI 2.1, two HDMI 2.0, Display Port 1.4 with DSC, 4-port USB 3.2 gen1 hub, and audio jack.
