Because with the Sony ZV-1 (priced at $846 on Bhphoto), the company from Japan has announced its own vlogging camera, but the Panasonic Lumix DC-G100 offers some decisive advantages. Above all, the interchangeable lens – thanks to the MFT mount, a variety of lenses available for users.

The heart of the camera is a 20 megapixels Four Thirds sensor, but digital stabilization only. The Lumix G100 can record 4K videos with either 24 or 30 frames per second for up to ten minutes at a time, at 1080p resolution slow motion with up to 120fps is possible. Panasonic offers the in-house V-LogL color profile, which should offer a little more flexibility when editing. If desired, the material can be transferred directly to a smartphone via WLAN.
