MSI Vector 16 HX 2024 with up to Core i9-14900HX, RTX 4090, and Wi-Fi 7

At CES 2024, MSI unveiled its latest Vector laptop lineup, headlined by the Vector 16 HX 2024. This high-end gaming laptop boasts impressive specs, offering configurations featuring the Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, an RTX 4090 laptop GPU, and a UHD+ display. Among its key features are per-key RGB-backlit keyboards from SteelSeries, support for PCIe Gen 5 storage, MSI Overboost Ultra technology, and Wi-Fi 7, to name a few.

The Vector 16 HX 2024 caters to gaming enthusiasts with top-of-the-line internals, high-resolution displays, and PCIe Gen 5 storage. Under its hood, it supports configurations with an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, boosting up to 5.6 GHz on all P-cores. Accompanying this powerhouse CPU is the option for an RTX 4090 laptop GPU in the highest-end configuration. The lineup also includes GPU options like the RTX 4060 in the entry-level SKU, alongside the RTX 4070 and RTX 4080.

According to MSI, the CPU and GPU configurations in the Vector 16 HX models operate within a 240 W power budget, while the entry-level and mid-tier variants work with 195 W. Memory-wise, the laptop houses two DDR5 RAM slots capable of supporting up to 64 GB of memory. It also provides support for two M.2 slots for a maximum storage capacity of 2 TB, notably accommodating PCIe Gen 5 drives in one of the slots.

In terms of display options, the Vector 16 HX 2024 offers a 16-inch 120 Hz UHD+ display panel. Additionally, MSI provides alternative display choices, including a 240 Hz QHD+ IPS screen with full DCI-P3 gamut coverage and a 165 Hz FHD+ screen.

For connectivity, it offers a robust array of ports, featuring one Thunderbolt 4, two Type-C ports (one with Power Delivery and DisplayPort), two Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, a 3.5 mm combo jack, an SD card reader, an RJ45 jack, and a Kensington Lock port. Wireless connectivity is managed by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
