Master & Dynamic has introduced a new version of its MW08 truly wireless earphones, which come with a stylish charging case made of Kevlar. With a combination of sapphire crystal, aluminum, and beryllium, the manufacturer promises first-class workmanship and audio quality wireless earphone.
The Master & Dynamic MW08 (approx $299 on Amazon) was introduced earlier this year and now the manufacturer has introduced a new Sport version with few upgrades. First and foremost, the MW08 Sport is supplied with a charging case made of Kevlar, which not only looks good but unlike the regular MW08 wireless headphone, the case can also be charged wirelessly.
When it comes to the active noise cancelling earphones themselves, Master and Dynamic doesn’t skimp on high-quality materials: the housing is largely made of aluminum, and the antennas integrated into the housing should enable a Bluetooth 5.2 range of up to 30 meters. On the outside, there is a layer of sapphire crystal, which makes the case particularly scratch-resistant and at the same time gives the wireless earphone a shiny finish. Beryllium, on the other hand, is used in the 11-millimeter drivers, which means that the wireless earphones should offer a particularly detailed, warm sound.
Another new feature of the Sport version is that, in addition to the silicone ear-tips in five sizes, foam ear-tips are also supplied in two sizes – these are made of memory foam, which means that they adapt to the ear canal in order to guarantee the best possible fit during sport. The TWS supports the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec, in addition to SBC and AAC.
The battery life remains an absolute highlight – even with active noise cancellation (ANC), the earphones can play for ten hours at a time, and the charging case stores enough energy for around 2.5 charging processes. The wireless headphone themselves are IPX5 certified and thus protected against sweat and rain, the Kevlar charging case at least offers IPX4 certification.
