After listed as the Google Play Console device earlier this month, the Huawei Y5 2019 has been officially launched in China. It will be a budget handset comes with a 5.71-inch dewdrop notch display, 2GB RAM, 3020mAh battery and a faux-leather finish.

The pricing and availability details of the smartphone are unknown at this point, and it is likely that the company will reveal these details at the local launch of the smartphone. According to the company, Huawei Y5 2019 will be offered in four colors: Modern Black, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Amber Brown. Further, the company will be releasing four variants of the phone with model numbers – AMN-LX9, AMN-LX1, AMN-LX2, and AMN-LX3.

The Huawei Y5 2019 features a 5.71-inch dewdrop notch display with HD+ (1520 × 720 pixels) resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 84.6%. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) octa-core processor which paired with 2GB of RAM. It packs a 16GB / 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 512GB.
On the camera front, the Y5 2019 flaunts a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with an f/1.8 lens as well as a 5-megapixel fixed-focus selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens and face unlock. Huawei Y5 2019 comes with a faux-leather finish and a dewdrop-style display notch. The company claims that faux-leather material used in the phone is anti-fingerprint, wear-resistant, and anti-dirty.
The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on EMUI 9.0 out of the box. It packs a 3020mAh battery with dual SIM support. For connectivity includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB. The device measures 147.13×70.78×8.45mm and weigh 146 grams.
