A few days ago on the Chinese CA TENAA site were published a few pictures of the new device from Huawei, named Honor 7i. There are two versions of the device code named ATH-AL00 and ATH-AL00H. A feature of this device is that it will get a sliding rear camera, which when slid up to reveal the front camera along with dual LED flash.
Today, the network has information that this new device called Huawei Honor 7i and its official release could take place on 20 August. On confirmation, Huawei released a teaser, which specified new “7i” logo of the future device with the launch date of 8-20. In addition, the teaser posted with a slogan that said “You can change the vision together,” which clearly hints to us that the main focus of this smartphone is its in built-in camera.
An experiment with mobile camera module have been first implemented by the Oppo company in their smartphone called N1. It has a rotating camera that could be rotated to any angle, and also acts as a front-facing camera to capture selfies. But in this Huawei Honor 7i smartphone, it’s different. From the front, you can only see the back of the camera with dual LED flash, while the front panel comes without the camera. If you need to capture your own selfie, you have to just push the camera module up and you will see a front camera with a separate dual LED flash. At the moment this type of camera structure is not yet known to us, and how the manufacturer managed two cameras with two dual tone LED flash in such a small place.
For Huawei Honor 7i specifications, it is powered by 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor from Qualcomm, Adreno 405 GPU and the amount of memory would be 2 or 3 GB depending on the version. The amount of internal storage in the Honor 7i smartphone would be 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
As for the appearance of Honor 7i, it is more like Honor 6 than Honor 7. Meanwhile, Huawei is also going to present a mini version of Mate 7 named Huawei Mate 7 Mini – code name CRR-UL00. It features a 4.7-inch display with Full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
The Huawei Mate 7 Mini is powered by Huawei’s own 64-bit Kirin 935 Octa-core processor, Mali T624 GPU and coupled with 3GB of RAM. It runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS based on Huawei EMUI. While it features a 13-megapixel Sony IMX278 sensor at rear and a fingerprint scanner.
It is logical to assume that the price of Honor 7i should be less than the flagship Honor 7, at the moment there is not any official confirmation on the Mate 7 Mini, but the Honor 7i is a confirmed device. We have to wait until August 20 for the official details of the device.
