FiiO M15: First impressions and Picture Gallery

FiiO M15 review

This is a flagship Bluetooth music player that was introduced in December last year and is now in our hands-on. We’ll unbox it, presenting it to you, and evaluating the details later.

The packaging specifications of the M15 are quite impressive with wooden boxes extremely luxuriously. Internal accessories are generally sufficient with USB-C cable and tempered glass screen protectors. Unfortunately, the FiiO does not include a case for the device, otherwise, it would be considered a great offer. But it is also fine if not, you can buy it separately.

The M15 specifications are also very strong, according to the common standards of the music players, which owns Samsung Exynos 7872 chip and 3GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, built-in 2 AK4499EQ DAC chips and memory card slot supporting maximum capacity up to 2TB. It is also equipped with XMOS XUF208 control chip, Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth chip, and 2 pulsed pulse circuits with NDK Femtosecond. Other hardware includes 2 PA2211 circuits, 4 op-amp OPA1622, 4 OPA1612, and FPGA A3P030. It also has a battery with a large capacity of up to 7490mAh.

The actual size of FiiO M15 is quite large, almost equal to a smartphone. It has a 5.15-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 (18:9).

Portable Music Players

The layout of the sockets and the volume knob are not particular, common in all Hi-Res music players, but perhaps slightly less ambiguous at first use. This is because the volume knob is usually located on the top right of the audio player, but the FiiO M15 is located on the top left.

Control keys are also located on the left side of the M15, while there is absolutely nothing to the right. The keystroke feel is usually firm and strong, consistent with the value of a flagship device. The USB-C charging port is located on the bottom of the device near the microSD card slot.

The screen is only HD resolution but still gives sharp picture quality, possibly due to the larger 5.15-inch screen size.

Lossless audio player

The experience of quick use suggests that the size is very suitable when used with one hand, especially when you are familiar with operations and key positions. The M15 provides users with a smart key that programs the feature at will and is a big plus.

The FiiO M15 is equipped with both a balanced 2.5 mm and a balanced 4.4 mm jack and a standard 3.5 mm unbalanced jack. As mentioned above, the massive 7490mAh battery will suffice to meet your constant listening needs. When you are connected to the Internet, M15 also searches and downloads album art, lyrics, and tags to complement the music library.

In terms of features, the FiiO M15 Lossless audio player supports AirPlay, Line Out, DLNA, DAC, MQA, Bluetooth 5.0, FiiO Link, WiFi connectivity standards and many other common connection standards.

As a flagship DAC audio player model, the price of FiiO M15 is set at $1,299.99 and it can be purchased through the and online stores.
