Epson 3LCD Projector EB-PU2220

The Epson laser projector EB-PU2220 is primarily aimed at professional customers. According to the manufacturer, this is the smallest and lightest 20,000-lumen projector in the world. Specifically, the system measures only 586 x 492 x 218 millimeters and weighs 24.4 kilograms. The brightness in economy mode should still be 14,000 lumens. The lamp’s service life is estimated at 30,000 hours in Durability Eco mode, which accordingly does not operate at full brightness.

The native resolution of the Epson EB-PU2220 is 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, but 4K material can be played back in a reduced resolution as usual. The native contrast ratio is estimated at 2,000:1, and up to 1.07 billion colors can be displayed. Since it is a professional device, interchangeable optics are also available – the maximum possible projection surface, which should generally be between 60 and 1,000 inches, is also based on this. The motorized lens shift operates vertically with up to 60° and horizontally with up to 18°. The zoom is also motorized.

The Epson 3LCD projector receives image signals via VGA, DVI, or HDMI, and is also compatible with the HDBaseT standard. WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n is optionally supported. The light source and the optics should be certified according to IP5X, which means that the projector can also be used outdoors.
