Dell has unveiled its latest offering for business professionals, introducing the Dell Latitude 7340 2023 model. This newest Dell Latitude model includes the Latitude 7340 and Latitude 7340 Ultralight models, both available in 2-in-1 formats. Dell’s new business ultrabook boasts powerful Intel 13th generation vPro processors, offering up to Core i7 capabilities. In addition, it features a 5 MP webcam, quad speakers, and a suite of business and privacy applications provided by Dell.
Accompanying the Latitude 7440 2023 series, Dell has also introduced the Latitude 7340 and Latitude 7340 Ultralight models, specifically designed to cater to the needs of team leaders, managers, and product managers.
The new Dell business laptop series showcases a premium ultralight magnesium chassis, available in River and Titan Gray color options. These laptops come with 16:10 screens, offered in both laptop and 2-in-1 configurations. However, the Latitude 7340 Ultralight model is exclusively available as a traditional laptop.
Users can enjoy new QHD+ displays with 400 nits of brightness, while the convertible laptops offer bright touch displays with pen input and Gorilla Glass Victus, reaching up to 500 nits. The clamshell laptops also feature touchscreens, albeit with 300 nits of brightness and without a super-low-power version. Unfortunately, the 4K options have been phased out.
A proximity sensor incorporated into the display allows for automatic pixelation when others are recognized nearby or dimming when the user looks away. Additionally, the login process is simplified as the laptop recognizes the approaching user and automatically logs them in. Similarly, for logout, the laptop identifies the user who is leaving.
The Latitude 7340 provides a selection of 13th Gen Intel processors, including options up to Core i7 U-series vPro. Dell has also equipped it with a 5 MP MIPI IR webcam featuring a physical shutter. Optional features include Onlooker and Look-away detection, quad speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, optional 4G/5G WWAN, and Dell Optimizer AI capabilities.
The Dell Latitude 7340 2023 series introduces a backlit mini-LED keyboard that promises up to 3 hours of additional battery life, as claimed by Dell. However, it should be noted that the touchpad is slightly smaller and lacks haptic controls for Zoom calls.
