In addition to the Blackmagic Cloud Pod (approx. $400 on Bhphotovideo), Blackmagic Design has launched another one with massive storage capacity: the Blackmagic Cloud Store with 20TB, 80TB, and even 320TB. The 20 & 80TB network storage solutions will be available in the second quarter, while the 320TB version will be available upon request.
The Blackmagic Cloud Store is a new, extremely powerful network storage solution with four 10G Ethernet ports and core memory whose parallel processing on each 10G Ethernet port maintains maximum transfer speeds. It features an elegant design specifically designed to meet the needs of the TV and high-end film industries.
Blackmagic Design, the video hardware manufacturer, designed the Blackmagic Cloud Store as the solution for many purposes in the field of video production, but it is also suitable for many other application areas where team members work together on projects with large amounts of data, such as larger photo and video editing multimedia studios.
Blackmagic Store is ideal for streaming, editing, color correction, audio post, and VFX in film and television where files are typically edited by multiple users. It can even handle massive 12K Blackmagic RAW files for digital cinema. The latency for each user is zero and you save it on the local computer.
