BenQ introduces the XL2546X from its Zowie series, a Full HD monitor boasting a remarkable 240 Hz refresh rate, heralding the arrival of BenQ’s third-generation anti-blur technology. This aligns with NVIDIA’s latest ULMB 2 release, presenting various enhancements in combating moving image blur. BenQ’s own DyAc technology moves into its third iteration, marking a step forward in addressing motion blur.
The Zowie XL2546X emerges as one of the pioneers incorporating DyAc 2, promising a substantial enhancement in motion clarity compared to its predecessors and older anti-blur tools, a point highlighted in a video demonstration, although without a direct comparison to ULMB 2.
This new BenQ 240Hz 24.5-inch model, tailored for esports, offers a responsive TN panel with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and a dual backlight system, aimed at diminishing motion blur while providing softer illumination. It features a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a typical brightness of 320 cd/m², and a power requirement under 45 watts.
Promoted with Adaptive Sync to combat screen tearing, it can’t be simultaneously used with DyAc 2. The Zowie XL 240Hz monitor also includes side privacy shields, a black stabilizer, and an external OSD control device – the S Switch. Connectivity options comprise two HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone output, offering Full HD at 120 Hz on gaming consoles like PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X.
Ergonomics remain a priority, featuring tilt, rotation, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight (when DyAc 2 is inactive).
