Asus ZenFone 6 Edition 30 Limited Edition with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM announced

After listing of the ZenFone 6 2019 at the Bhphotvideo store, Asus has announced ZenFone 6 Edition 30 limited-edition 30th Anniversary variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage at the Computex 2019 in Taipei. New Asus smartphone gets a new design and beefed up specifications. It was launched alongside other products like the ZenBook Edition 30 laptop, new VivoBook laptops, ZenBook Duos, and 240Hz Mobile Displays.

The Asus ZenFone 6 Edition 30 sports a new design at the back consisting of Zen-inspired concentric-circle patterns in Matte Black, covered with ergonomic 3D-curved glass. The limited edition phone also has a distinctive embossed Edition 30 logo on the back.

According to Asus, it will be producing just 3,000 units of the ZenFone 6 Edition 30 smartphone for sale globally. This special edition phone will have come with 30 months warranty. The pricing and exact availability details are a mystery at this point.

Asus ZenFone 6 Edition 30 Specifications

The ZenFone 6 Edition 30 gets 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This is higher than the regular version of the ZenFone 6 which tops out at 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 6.46-inch NanoEdge IPS LCD FHD+ display, 92% screen-to-body ratio, 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 600 nits brightness, HDR10, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU, and expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD.

On the camera front, the ZenFone 6 Edition 30 features a flip camera with 48MP 1/2″ Sony IMX586 sensor with Quad Bayer technology for 12MP effective images with Dual LED Flash, f/1.79 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size, Laser AF, EIS, along with a 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture so that you can use it as both front and rear cameras, and the flip mechanism can be used in 90-degree position.

The handset has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dedicated smart key that is customizable. The device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with ZenUI 6 with updates for Android Q and R in the future. It packs a 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0, but it only comes with an 18W charger in the box.
