Asus expands its ZenFone smartphone series with the ZenFone 6 at a media event in Europe last week. The main highlight of the Asus ZenFone 6 2019 is its flip camera with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 6.26-inch NanoEdge no-notch HDR10 display, up to 8GB RAM, and fingerprint sensor.

Exact details regarding the sale and availability of the smartphone were not discussed at the event. But now if we go from the latest listing on Bhphotovideo.com online store – the smartphone will be available to pre-order soon, and listed with a “Notify when available”.
Asus ZenFone 6 price in USA starts from $499.99 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, and the model with 128GB storage costs $549.99. The device will be available for pre-order soon and it comes in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver color options.

The Asus ZenFone 6 features a 6.46-inch NanoEdge IPS LCD display with narrow bezels and 92% screen-to-body ratio, FHD+ resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 600 nits brightness, HDR10, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by a 2.84 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB (UFS 2.1) storage, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage, expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD.
On the camera front, the ZenFone 6 features a flip camera with 48-megapixel 1/2″ Sony IMX586 sensor with Quad Bayer technology for 12MP effective images with Dual LED Flash, f/1.79 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size, Laser AF, EIS, along with a 13-megapixel 125-degree ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture so that you can use it as both front and rear cameras, and the flip mechanism can be used in 90-degree position. The flip-up camera made from Liquid Metal is lighter than stainless steel and is 4x stronger. It will close automatically if you drop the phone, and the company at the launch said that it has tested it with up to 100,000 flips.
The Asus ZenFone 6 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dedicated smart key that is customizable. The back also has a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, features 6000-series aluminum frame. The handset runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with ZenUI 6 with updates for Android Q and R in the future. It packs a 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0, but it only comes with an 18W charger in the box. For connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. The device measures 159.1 x 75.4 x 9.2 mm and weighs 190 grams.
