Asus ROG GR8 II Price, Specifications and Availability

ASUS has announced the start sales of ultra-compact gaming PC ROG GR8 II. A distinctive feature of the PC – a case with only 4 liters of volume, inside it a high-performance gaming platform, branded lighting, and efficient cooling system. To date, Asus ROG GR8 II is the most compact gaming PC with virtual reality support. It uses high-grade ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card and seventh generation Intel Core i7 processor, microarchitecture-based Kaby Lake with standard DDR4 RAM up to 32GB. 

The equipment includes two HDMI ports, allowing you to connect the RV goggles and the monitor at the same time. Asus ROG GR8 II has a set of connectivity: Intel Ethernet (I219-V), Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2 x 2 antennas and MIMO technology, SupremeFX audio system, Sonic Studio III sound system, new Sonic Radar III audio engine and GameFirst IV function to optimize network parameters. ROG GR8 II maintains the Aura Sync lighting system, which has 12 sync mode and works with compatible devices with built-in Aura RGB lighting. Due to its small size, GR8 II can be freely transported from place to place, and even take the game tournament as well.

During the tests, the new ROG GR8 II demonstrated 47 percent better results than similar gaming PCs based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 series graphics card, and 10 percent better result than computers based on the GeForce GTX 970. The seventh generation Intel Core i7 processor provides increased productivity by 8 percent compared with the previous generation. For example, in actual use, significantly reducing the time frame rendering in games with virtual reality support. Numerous tests have repeatedly demonstrated full compatibility with Oculus Rift. With two built-in HDMI 2.0 ports, you can simultaneously connect a virtual reality headset and monitor. In addition, gamers can connect up to three monitors via built-in DisplayPort interface or up to two monitors with HDMI to one displays the online broadcast of the game, and the other to use. ASUS ROG GR8 II is equipped with a special cooling system with copper heat pipes and dual fans which direct warm air from the CPU and GPU for efficient cooling even during heavy use. The ROG GR8 II in standby mode consumes less than 30 watts, and the noise level is only 23dB, which is 24 percent quieter than conventional desktop computers. Asus ROG GR8 II Price and Availability

Asus ROG GR8 II will be on sale at the end of this month in two configurations. Low-end model with the Intel Core i5-7400 processor, GeForce GTX 1060, 8GB of RAM, SSD 128GB up to 1TB and pre-installed Windows 10 and it will be available for a suggested retail price of $1415 USD. The high-end model with the Intel Core i7-7700 processor, GeForce GTX 1060, 16GB RAM, SSD of 256 GB up to 1TB and Windows 10 and it will be available for a suggested retail price of $1748 USD.
