With the Agon AG493UCX, AOC has introduced an exciting 120hz 1ms monitor for gaming that uses a curved, 49-inch VA panel that promises an excellent gaming experience with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels.
The latest 120 Hz monitor from AOC relies on an ultra-wide VA panel in 32:9 format, which offers a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels with a pixel density of 108.5 PPI. The color representation is also decent, the Adobe RGB and DCI P3 color spaces can each be represented at 90 percent, the NTSC color space at least 85 percent. The maximum brightness of 550 nits is also decent, which is enough for VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
As befits a 120 Hz gaming monitor, the display which is curved in a radius of 1,800R is 120 Hz fast, the response time is specified by the manufacturer as 1 ms (GtG), and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro can eliminate tearing. The equipment also includes 5-watt stereo speakers, a tiltable and height-adjustable stand, and six gaming modes that have been optimized for different genres.
It is exciting that the latest Agon AOC gaming monitor has a USB-C port, via which a notebook can be connected and charged with up to 65 watts. Alternatively, the 1440p 120hz monitor can also be connected to a computer via two HDMI 2.0 connections or two DisplayPorts. An integrated USB 3.1 hub with three ports enables accessories to be connected directly to the 120 Hz gaming monitor.
