The Mushkin range has been expanded with the Alpha series of PCIe NVMe M.2 solid state drives. It includes 4 TB and 8 TB SSD drives. They use a Phison E12S controller and an unnamed manufacturer of 3D NAND Flash. The internal SSD drive models are PCIe Gen3 x4 and NVMe 1.3 compliant.

In the case of a 4TB drive, the sequential read speed reaches 3200 MB/s, the sequential write speed reaches 3000 MB/s. The 8TB drive claims a maximum sequential read speed of 3300MB/s and a maximum sequential write speed of 3000MB/s. In both cases, the performance on operations with random access in 4 KB blocks reaches 550,000 and 640,000 IOPS in read and write modes, respectively, and the resource is specified equal to 900 TBW.
Mushkin Alpha series PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs come with a built-in LDPC ECC provides the most-powerful data correction level in use today. They have end-to-end data path protection, and NVMe Deallocate function supported (NVMe equivalent of TRIM command). There is also Pyrite/TCG Opal and AES Support. They also feature Self-Encrypting Drive (SED), Thermal Monitoring, and AHCI support.
Features:
- L1.2 power mode support for ultra-low power consumption
