One of the standout features of the Q7 is its ability to play a variety of audio formats, including DSD, APE, FLAC, and WAV. This means that you can enjoy your favorite music in a variety of formats, without having to worry about compatibility issues.

The Q7 also boasts a powerful amplifier and high-quality DAC (digital-to-analog converter), which means that it can produce crystal-clear, high-fidelity audio. Whether you’re listening to music through headphones or connecting the Q7 to a home audio system, you’ll be able to enjoy a superior listening experience.

It is also integrated with XMOS XU316 USB chipset compatible with PCM 768kHz/32bit signal quality and DSD 512 (22.4MHz/Native) over USB-C protocol.

As mentioned above, FiiO Q7 uses an ESS ES9038PRO DAC chip that supports 8-channel, accompanied by exclusive amplifier technology THX AAA-788+ (developed based on THX AAA-788 amplifier circuit with some FiiO’s tweaks). The USB chipset is XMOS XU316 which supports signal quality PCM 768kHz/32-bit and DSD 512 Native 22.4MHz, in addition also supports MQA Full-Decoding without the need for additional third-party devices.

The Q7 is equipped with two THX AAA-788+ amplifiers per channel, providing an output power level of 3,000mW @32 Ω (per channel). Similar to the M17, the Q7 automatically switches the power from the battery to the mains to allow both charging and use while still protecting the battery’s safety. Total battery life will be about 9h-11h depending on the mode of use, with 4.5h charging time.

The FiiO Q7 has 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm jacks, and comes with a 6.3mm adapter. Two 3.5mm and 4.4mm ports allow use in unbalanced and balanced standards. Q7 also has RCA input to receive a S/PDIF signal from a source (using Q7 as DAC).

The device supports USB Audio Class 2.0 connection standards that can be customized to charge only or only transfer data so as not to affect audio performance. The internal components are also isolated for the most effective anti-interference.

Q7 uses a Qualcomm SoC QCC5124 Bluetooth chip compatible with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and LDAC codecs. The device is integrated with a 1.3-inch IPS LCD screen to display basic information such as sample rate, volume, and battery level. The edge of the Q7 also has LEDs that indicate the quality of the signal being processed.
