This is the first SmartWatch from Alcatel named OneTouch Watch, the Watch face is very similar to the Moto 360 but slightly smaller diameter, touch screen display, a non-replaceable strap, but in return an integrated USB charging strap so user can charge it wherever they want no need to care about out of battery or extra cables.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch features a 1.2-inch round display with a resolution of 240×204 pixels, but the rim has a shiny metal outer shell. The entire upper surface is covered with a glass with soft outside edges like Moto 360, slightly curved outer edge should look nice and shiny. The bottom of the Watch face has a black plastic cover.
Only a single button on the right side is used to turn the screen on/off, rest all operations are working through touch. The Alcatel OneTouch Smart Watch comes with a non-replaceable rubber strap, some time little uncomfortable to wear in the presence of hot weather. There is NFC logo on the body with small cords, at the end of the strap there is a USB port to plug into a computer or spare battery for direct charging. This is one of the most convenient feature of this Alcatel Smart Watch and that we can charge it anywhere, anytime without the need to carry extra cables.
But the Alcatel OneTouch Watch also has some of drawback that can not be replaced, as well as reduce the overall quality of its finishing. The uncomfortable wrists, and the locking clasp you’ll use to adjust the band’s fit is both initially confusing and tricky to open unless you’ve got sturdy nails. About the idea of Strap with USB port is pretty good, but the quality of the device is not high.
There is a gyroscope, altimeter, accelerometer and heart rate monitor lurking in that 10.5mm thick body, a use of a plastic back cover makes the watch less luxurious than the Moto 360 and Pebble Steel, which was used metal material. Its weight is also very light, much lighter than the Moto 360.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch is compatible with Android and iOS, using its own operating system and unfortunately you can not install more apps for it, there are no Android Wear and no app store, so with this Watch the functionality will be limited. But basically, it can still receive messages from the phone, call notification, messaging, calendar, alarm and different three clock faces.
Overall, the Alcatel OneTouch Watch quite childish when entering into the SmartWatch world, OneTouch Watch with nice design, strap with integrated charging port but somewhere it lacks in finishing and Android Wear apps.
