Harman International has introduced the latest Bluetooth Headphones called the Y100 Wireless under the AKG brand. The AKG Y100 Wireless headphones are said to be the successor to AKG’s Y series product line with the premium sound quality and extremely affordable prices. The Y100 Wireless will be available on August 24th at an estimated price of $100.
The build quality of the AKG Y100 Wireless is not much different from the current products of the Y series with a metal design. Housing is designed to feel soft and the magnet also helps to secure the two ears when not in use. The neckband design is especially focused on a comfortable feel with the soft material. The interior uses a dynamic driver with a sound quality introduced by the manufacturer that balances the detail of the AKG.
This product uses Bluetooth 4.2 with AAC codecs and SBC. The newly introduced Ambient aware feature allows users to easily hear announcements when traveling on trams or airports, or when the traffic is heavy. This device also supports two devices at the same time, so you can use it while listening to music on one smartphone, receiving a phone call to another smartphone.
The headphones consist of three buttons and a built-in microphone. It will come in four different colors: Black, Blue, Green, and Pink. The AKG Y100 Wireless’s battery life is up to 8 hours and also support fast charging that can play music up to about 1 hour with charging for about 15 minutes.
