The Acer Nitro XV272URV, a 27-inch gaming monitor with a high refresh rate, is now on the market. It’s designed to support a maximum refresh rate of 170 Hz, achievable specifically via DisplayPort. However, connecting through HDMI might limit the refresh rate to 144 Hz. Its resolution clocks in at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, adhering to the WQHD standard.

The monitor’s gray-to-gray response time falls within the typical millisecond range for gaming monitors. AMD FreeSync Premium enhances the image experience by synchronizing the graphics card’s output with the monitor’s display. With a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m², it stands as standard, neither remarkably high nor low.

Promising true-to-color performance, the relevant Delta E value is stated to be less than 1, indicating suitability for hobbyist-level image editing. Covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, the Acer XV272URV appears adept for image and video editing.

In terms of additional features, the XV272URV incorporates a mandatory audio port but lacks a USB hub. It’s VESA mount-compatible, allowing for bracket installation.
